VR Preservation was founded in August of 2020 out of a need for people to explore historical sites without the ability to travel due to the global pandemic. It started out as a student led project by Paul Cassisa, an Ogden Leadership Scholar at the LSU Ogden Honors College.
Paul Cassisa is the Chairman of the Board and CEO of VR Preservation. Paul is a past Fellow of the Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute and currently serves as both the Vice President of the LSU Foundation Student Philanthropy Council and Student President of the LSU E.J. Ourso College of Business. Paul initially got his start working with virtual reality at a real estate brokerage and then later with Louisiana Preservation Through Virtual Reality. He is currently pursing a Bachelor of Science Honors degrees from Louisiana State University in Finance.
Calder Reed is the Vice Chairman of the Board of VR Preservation. Calder serves as Director of Public Relations for the LSU Foundation Student Philanthropy Council. He has experience working in the historical preservation space in and around Vicksburg, MS. He is pursing a Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University in Kinesiology with the intention of becoming a Physical Therapist.
Michael Crick is the Secretary of the Board of VR Preservation. Michael currently serves as the President of the LSU Ultimate team and is a member of the Fundraising team of the LSU Foundation Student Philanthropy Council. He is currently pursing a Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University in Kinesiology with the intention of going to medical school.
Conner Leblanc is a Director on the Board of VR Preservation. Conner is a Co-Founder and CEO of Project Zenith a digital content production company specializing in immersive experience services. He has a MBA and JD from Louisiana State University. Conner is licensed to practice law in the State of Louisiana.
Ian Chen is a Web Developer at VR Preservation. Ian previously worked at LSU as a Web Developer. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University in Computer Science.
Historical Research Associate
Dylan White is a Historical Research Associate at VR Preservation. Dylan currently holds an Associate’s Degree in General Studies from Northwestern State University. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts from Louisiana State University in History with a minor in LGBTQ studies.
