In 1992, Ronald Hooper and Maurice Cooper founded the museum after Cooper agreed to match Hooper’s teapot collection. Bygone Beautys is currently home to the largest teapot collection in the world, housing over 5,550 teapots, which come from around the world and span centuries. The museum also hosts the Traditional High Tea and the Devonshire Tea in its tearooms. Visitors may purchase antiques, jewelry, and collectibles at the museum.
