The Nasa Shuttle Full Fuselage Trainer (FTT) is a full-scale mockup of the space shuttle orbiter without the wings. The FTT was built in the 1970s at the Johnson Space Center, and it is considered the oldest mockup in the Space Vehicle Mockup Facility. The Fuselage Trainer was used to test for upgrades to the shuttle fleet and for astronaut training. The astronaut training in the FTT consisted of housekeeping, in-flight maintenance, stowage familiarity, ingress/egress.
