Established in 1993, the Olympic Museum was founded as the official museum on Lake Geneva in Lausanne, Switzerland. Lausanne is considered the Olympic Capital which is home to the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Throughout the three floors, the exhibits go through the origins of the Olympic games, competitions, and the spirit of the games. The collections were started in 1915, and it continually expands each year. With over 150 screens and 1500 objects, the Olympic Museum displays various artifacts including Olympic torches, medals, and equipment from Olympic athletes.
