Salem Boys School

The Old Salem Boys’ School was originally built in 1794, and it is located in Old Salem Museum and Gardens in Winston Salem, North Carolina. The building was used as the Boys’ School until 1896. The school is considered the world’s oldest Moravian school building still standing. It is one of the earliest American structures built for pre-collegiate education. The Boys’ School now operates as a part of the Old Salem Museum and Gardens which gives visitors a learning experience focused on the past methods of education for boys and girls in early Salem.
