Shwe U Min Pagoda is a winding complex of natural limestone caves and tunnels that house thousands of buddha images that come in a number of shapes, sizes, and materials. The natural cave is located in Pindaya, Myanmar. When it was last counted, the natural cave contained more than 8000 statues. Many of them were left centuries ago by pilgrims and newly installed ones were placed by Buddhist organizations from around the world. The collection is continually growing as more alabaster, teak, marble, brick, and cement images of buddha are brought by pilgrims. Throughout Shwe U Min Pagoda, there are naturally occurring meditation chambers where pilgrims can meditate.
