The Tiny Home That Runs On Dunkin is a custom, transportable tiny home that runs on a biofuel blend using 80 percent coffee oil extracted from spent Dunkin’ coffee grounds and 20% alcohol. The home was revealed in New York City in October 2018 as the first home to run on coffee. The 275-square-foot structure houses a full kitchen, bathroom and bed. In order for the home to be powered by coffee, Dunkin’ partnered with Blue Marble Biomaterials which takes wasted resources and converts them to fuel. The Tiny Home That Runs On Dunkin’ is available to rent in Nahant, Massachusetts.
