The Traverse County Museum is housed in the old Milwaukee Railroad depot, and presents the personal and economic aspects of life in the early 20th century. Recreations of the domestic and occupational life are featured throughout the old depot in order for visitors to obtain the full experience of Traverse County. The museum contains numerous collections that include old sewing machines, farm equipment, and 20th century merchandise from old Traverse County stores.
